That rings alarm bells in Cor's head. If the mayor already has 'plans' for what to do, then Cor has little time to waste in getting Cor out of this town...and as far away from it as he could. And as quickly as possible, too. Cult leaders' plans tends to be...dramatic, to say the least.
But he doesn't show much of his concern much. "Maybe after our little hunt, when the people realize that I'm your new friend, the mayor might tell me." He knows that it's a lie; as if he's going to lead Sora back to this town willingly after tonight...
However, he has to keep the kid in the dark; if he makes him freak out now, he'll wake up the mayor. And he didn't need the poor kid being locked up for real because of his little unannounced visit.
